ADAPT-PT installation problems

If you have installed ADAPT-PT 2010, but cannot access a network license, it is likely that the drivers were not completely installed.  You may be recieving he warning, “No License Found.”  If you are experiencing this, please follow the steps below:

  1. Prior to installing PT 2010, uninstall PT8.  After using the uninstall option from START or from the control panel, go to C:/Program Files/ADAPT and delete ALL ADAPT-PT folders.  There should be no previous versions installed on the machine. 
  2. For new installations of PT 2010, when the Install Shield Wizard opens and runs the user through the installation, a small window will appear behind the main Install Shield window.  This smaller windows  shows the status of the HASP SRM installation, including drivers and the Sentinal HASP License Manager.  The main screen will prompt the user to select “Finish” prior to the HASP SRM install completing.  Wait until you receive a message stating that the driver installation was successfully completed and then press “Finish.”  Reboot the computer and the key should be found.  If not continue to Step 4.
  3. For those who have installed PT 2010 but get the warning, “No License Found,” go to  Download and Install the “”  Once installed, reboot the computer and the key should be found.  If not continue to Step 4.
  4. Go to http://localhost:1947/.  Click on “Configuration” at the left-hand panel.  You should see a file path like C:\Program Files\Common Files\Aladdin Shared\HASP\hasplm.ini near the bottom of the screen.  Navigate to  this location and under the REMOTE>Server Addr, input the IP of the server hosting the key.
